RAISING DNV’S PROFILE IN WIND ENERGY
DNV, a global leader in assurance and risk management, tasked 361 Communications with increasing visibility for its Supply Chain and Product Assurance (SCPA) team at Wind Europe 2025 in Copenhagen. With little prior engagement in wind energy media, the goal was to build brand awareness, establish strong media relationships, and generate meaningful coverage to support DNV’s thought leadership in ESG, supply chain assurance and sustainability. 361 delivered with podcast appearances, in-depth interviews and features as well as a visit from the Wind Europe CEO.
The wind industry is at the forefront of the global energy transition, yet it faces challenges around supply chain decarbonisation, product integrity and stakeholder trust. DNV’s SCPA team plays a pivotal role in addressing these issues through ESG validation, sustainable material lifecycle assessments and independent product assurance. However, despite its expertise, the team lacked visibility in specialist wind and renewable media channels, missing out on valuable brand exposure.
The
CHALLENGE
At Wind Europe, the voice of the wind industry in Europe, 361 Communications was tasked with positioning DNV’s SCPA experts as thought leaders in a crowded media landscape – securing high-value media briefings with tier-one renewable and ESG publications during the show.
The agency also needed to maximise attendance at DNV’s stand talk and build ongoing journalist relationships beyond the event.
Delivery of coverage, that highlighted DNV’s leadership in sustainable supply chains, green steel, and ESG assurance, was a given.

What
we did
The agency executed a targeted and strategic media campaign to maximise DNV’s presence at Wind Europe. The team reached out to more than 350 journalists across wind, renewable, ESG, maritime and sustainability sectors, tailoring pitches to showcase DNV’s expertise in supply chain assurance and ESG services.
This effort secured seven in-depth media interviews at the DNV stand, including tier-one publications, such as Windpower Monthly and Foresight Climate & Energy, as well as a meeting with the CEO of Wind Europe.
To ensure consistency of messaging, detailed briefing notes and Q&As were developed for DNV’s spokespeople, Markus Zeitzen and Chris Lilholm, who were also positioned as thought leaders through a well-attended stand talk on decarbonisation and sustainable supply chains.
Media engagement continued beyond the show, with proactive follow-up resulting in additional coverage opportunities and a post-event interview with national newspaper, Dagbladet Børsen, further extending DNV’s visibility and credibility in the wind sector.
